Miami-Dade County Public Works Department Hurricane Katrina Debris Removal
On August 23, 2005 Hurricane Katrina formed over the Bahamas and went on to cross over South Florida. Although only a category I when it crossed South Florida, it formed extremely fast and left very little time for preparation. The CES key personnel immediately met with the County in an effort to provide assistance during this emergency. CES Consultants, Inc. was immediately activated to provide debris monitoring and management for the Miami-Dade County Public Works Department under a $4,000,000 Master Consulting Contract.
Under this work order, CES staff performed a wide range of services related to debris monitoring and management throughout Miami-Dade County. CES employees worked as an extension of the County providing everything from project management to debris monitoring and asset inspection. Below is a list of the services provided by the CES staff.
