City of Homestead flagship Cinema

As part of the City of Homestead’s Block Grant Program, the City obtained the services of a consultant team to design and provide construction management and inspection services for the construction of a new Flagship Cinema and associated infrastructure improvements. CES provided Design, Construction Management and Inspection services. CES was also responsible for certifying the work performed, in compliance with City of Homestead construction standards. The new cinema is located on the southwest corner of Campbell Drive and the Florida Turnpike. The following is a list of the services provided by CES:

  • Design Services
  • Research and coordination with utility companies
  • Review of Plans at all phases of design
  • Permitting Services
  • Review of construction cost estimate
  • Construction Management Services
  • Coordination of contractors construction activities
  • Coordination between the client, engineer, and contractors
  • Tracking material quantities
  • Creating daily progress reports
  • Construction Inspection Services
  • Certification of Completed Work

In addition to the construction management, CES staff provided inspection services and project certification for the construction of a new 4-lane access roadway, including:

  • Installation of new 8-inch water main
  • Installation of new sanitary sewer;
  • Construction of a new submersible pump pumping station and force main;
  • Installation of drainage boxes and catch basins;
  • Construction of parking lot, signage, sub-base installation, asphalt paving, pavement markings, lighting work, installation of foliage and street landscaping.

All work supervised to meet FDOT, City and County standards.
