Assistant Resident Engineers and Construction Inspectors

CES Consultants, Inc. (CES), is seeking assistant resident engineers and construction inspectors with varying levels of experience for NYC Department of Design and Construction (DDC) infrastructure projects within the 5 boroughs of NYC. CES is a national civil engineering firm with offices in New York, Miami Lakes, Pembroke Pines, West Palm Beach, and Jacksonville.

Assistant Resident Engineer Qualifications:

  • Qualified for ASCE Grade lll
  • Baccalaureate degree in engineering from an accredited college
  • Five years of experience in construction inspection or management on infrastructure construction projects (highway/sewer/water)

Senior Inspector Qualifications:

  • Qualified for ASCE Grade II, or NICET Grade III

 One of the followings:

  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of experience in construction inspection or management on infrastructure construction projects (highway/sewer/water), OR
  • High school diploma or its educational equivalent and ten years of experience in construction inspection or management of infrastructure construction projects (highway/sewer/water)
  • ACI Grade I (Applicable only to Federal Aid Projects with FHW A and/or FT A Funding)

 Inspector Qualifications:

  • Qualified for ASCE Grade I or NICET Grade II.
  • Baccalaureate degree in engineering from an accredited college.
  • Three years of experience in construction inspection or management on infrastructure construction projects (highway/sewer/water).
  • American Concrete Institute Field Technician Certificate required.
  • OSHA 10 or 30-hour training preferred.

Resident Engineer

CES Consultants, Inc., is hiring for a Resident Engineer position in our NY office.  CES is a national civil engineering firm with offices in New York, Miami Lakes, Pembroke Pines, West Palm Beach, and Jacksonville seeking a licensed full-time Resident Engineer with prior NYCDDC experience that will be responsible for managing daily construction management and inspection which includes: 

Resident Engineer Job Description:

The Resident Engineer will manage daily construction management and inspection which includes:

  • Responsible for site safety, permit compliance and coordination with other adjacent projects.
  • Monitoring Contractor performance, scheduling, effectiveness and quality control.
  • Manage inspection and office staff. Responsible for record keeping, correspondence, compiling and delivering of required reports. Chair various project meetings, record and distribute meeting minutes.
  • Review and approve daily inspection reports and payment quantities in accordance with DDC requirements.
  • Prepare Change Orders for overruns, changed conditions and additional work.
  • Work with community liaison to inform public about upcoming work and potential impacts. Work with the Contractor to minimize disruptions to the public.
  • Log and Coordinate with the designer to respond to Contractors submittals, RFI's and shop drawings

Resident Engineer Educational Requirements:

  • Qualified for ASCE Grade V
  • Baccalaureate degree in engineering from an accredited college
  • Valid NYS P.E. License
  • Five years of experience in construction inspection or management on infrastructure construction projects (highway /sewer/water)
  • NYCDDC prior experience preferred but not required

Working under the direction of the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the content development of all marketing collateral and communications materials, including proposals and presentations
  • Assisting with the research of competitors and potential new clients
  • Assisting in the planning and coordination of events
  • Assisting in special marketing projects as needed
  • Organizing and maintaining all marketing files
  • Providing day-to-day assistance in support of other marketing efforts and tasks

Preferred Qualifications Candidate should have:
